Who is the Zelda Character Raven? What are real Ravens? Read on...

Raven is a main character in the Legend of Zelda: The Oracle of Ages manga. He's not found in any of the games, he's an original character created by Akira Himekawa for the Nintendo manga- (Yes, these books were done for Nintendo, they're not fan works or anything like that- I see it debated sometimes)

Raven is a Hylian, a race originating from the land of Hyrule, but he's traveled abroad to the land of Labrynna where he's in the service of Queen Ambi. To avoid any spoilers, I would suggest that you read the manga to learn more about him and the story. But, he's pretty much like a mature version of Link, -the Zelda series' main kiddo- Honda A., one of the manga's creators, had this posted in their journal for a while. "...Raven, as a character, is a down-to-earth adult I drew during a calm mood, so I didn't think he would be a character who really stood out all that much, but conversely over there (abroad), I wonder if they see that simplicity as more realistic..." She also wondered what foreigners thought of all the blonde characters. (-Translated thanks to Annie)

I loved Raven the moment I saw him and promptly went about trying to translate him name. I got it wrong, I was at least able to pick out which one was his though, but I think I thought it was Reban- thankfully my friend who knows Japanese figured it out for me.
