~updates~

March 10, 2009: I changed all of the comment links to the new live journal thread, instead of all their individual threads at the forum. Please feel free to use it, you don't need a LJ account! Not only was the forum broken, it never really got used for commenting on the art and character stuff. I also fixed some page errors found on this site. If you find any active forum links, or broken areas of the site, please contact me either through email, or the with the public comment thread. I hope to add my newer art, and more sketchbooks and character folders, to this site soon too. I also brought back most of the "omake", or "extra stuff" section, except for the bio part, because that was being abused.

December 01, 2008: I'm going to rework everything in the "about" or "omake" section, so for the moment it is down. I'm the process of adding more info to the Story and Character sections.

September 05, 2008: I'm done with the basic uploading and site changes. Damn, that took a good 5 days. I've been wanting to do it for a long time though, and since my wrist has been hurting and I'm not up to drawing, it seemed like it was a good time for it. I can't believe I just manually changed over 1,376 pages of code and that's not counting the ones I made templates for. (That would add a few extra hundred pages.) So, yay, the site is in php and way more uniform now. The pages should automatically refresh (so no cookie clearing) and the center frame is in the right place on all the pages. If you find any errors though PLEASE email me.

I also added a metric ass-load of stuff. The big change is that I combined, and revamped, the folders and talking heads section. I think there is now over 1600 pages of my character doodles and they're not small like they use to be. Some of them are recent, some of them go way back to the early 90's! Please check them out: Folder 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08. I put a few example pieces from each folder in their description section so you can get an idea of what you'd be flipping through. If anyone has any comments on this, or ideas for this section, please let me know.

I also added these pieces to their respective sections:

And these wallpapers:

Howl: 1200x750 1680x1050 1920x1200

Twilight Wolf: 1200x750 1680x1050 1920x1200

Twilight Wolf Standard Size: 800x600 1024x768 1600x1200

September 04, 2008: I'm deleteing the whole site and re-uploading it because I just made major changes to the coding and it's just easier to do it that way. If the site is acting funky today and tomorrow, it's because I'm still uploading.

September 01, 2008: I've gone a long time without updating but I've done a lot. I've rebuilt the whole site in php and fixed a lot of the problems I was having because all the code for every page was on each individual page. This also includes the need to refresh each page or clear your cookies if you visit site more than maybe 2 times a year. However, if you do encounter a problem, or a broken link because the page is an html file, please email me and let me know where you found the error. (I beg you!) Thanks!

I'm also going to be adding a lot of folders of "talking heads" artwork, including ones that were on the site before but at a much smaller (almost unviewable) size. Some of these folders include new character sketches and some are very old. By old I mean they're from almost as far back as one could go and find my character art: 1992-1994. Half my life ago. It was nice scanning them though. It reminds me that, while I still may suck in comparison to many, many, MANY artists, damn, at least I've gotten better since then.

May 19, 2008: Sorry I've been gone. I've been on a kick to build fanlistings. Anway, I made a few minor changes in the Omake/About section.

February 04, 2008: Meh, I've been kind of down so I'm trying to force myself to get up and work on stuff. My Zelda Zodiac project from the year before last was unfinished so it's getting the attention. There's a progress thread in the forum, if you're interested, click the pic below.

January 27, 2008: My sister was using my computer for a while. Now that it's back I decided it was about time to do an update. I freshened up the characters section a bit. If I wasn't such a bad writer I'd have better bio's there. I added about 150 new pages of character doodles to the folder section. You'll find them under 3-2, 3-3, and 3-4. I added 20 new pages to the end of this sketchbook and also all the current pages from this new sketchbook. I added a new wallpaper of the Autumn Stream piece I did (below) and I added it to the illustration section. I added 2 pieces in a new section for crafts. There's a new tiny doodle of one of my characters too. I have to get it off my other computer but I also want to post a wonderful commission that Louisa, of Velharthis, did of my characters. Other than all that, unless I'm missing something, I also just changed som crappy code.

December 1, 2007: I added a new area in the sketch section I just call "folders." It's some 400x300 thumbnails of the crappy character and story sketches I'm always doing. If you want to bother looking at them, there are about 700 of them here, with a zillion more on the way. Maybe. I don't know if people will really care that they're on the site, so, meh. I'm just posting them for now for the hell of it because I was scanning them anyway. I also got the forum working, with real spam protection this time (I hope!) so people can comment on stuff if they want. Most people seem to just do that at my DeviantART gallery though- Oh, and speaking of that, I added a few little things there. I'll post them here when I get some more time, but for now you can find them in the links below.

Scraps: My main guy character and my main girl character. And check out the first 3 thumbs below on the left

July 22, 2007: Finally got my laptop back. Geez, took forever. Life's been crazy too- I haven't been up for much so I just did an update.

I fixed a problem with the rollover images in the sketchbook section, I also rewrote, or added, a lot of text in the extra section (mostly the bio stuff) and the sketches and real art section. I added a few illustrations, real life sketches (including another version of a kitty I drew,) some random sketches, and some fan art. These were all already on my DeviantART gallery, but those thumbnails link to them on the site. There are also wallpapers for some of these in the extra stuff section.

April 12, 2007. Still no laptop, but I added a pasties code showing new work I've uploaded on DA and the Popular work from DA.

March 22, 2007. My laptop keeps having to go back to the shop so it's been hard for me to make updates. For now you can find some new work on my DeviantART gallery. The forums are also down until then, I need to add more mods to keep spam bots off, too many were signing up and the only way I could keep them off was by closing it. Sorry!

November 16th, 2006. I've started adding a better "favorites list" type of thing. (Mostly because I was bored one day and that's all I could get myself to do.) It's not close to finish, I don't have pictures up or anything, but you'll find it all in the "extra's section." I've also added 3 color sketches that I've done over the past 3 days. The group shot one was made so I could make the first page of my "character section" look a little better. I hope you like them. They're nothing grand, I'm just glad I'm doing something for once.

November 10th, 2006

November 11, 2006: I "finished" my Libra piece. I also added two oekaki's that were missing from this gallery for some reason, and a little original fan character/mascot. Please be sure to refresh your browser when you visit new pages on this site. I also added 4 pages to my "newer 2006" sketchbook. The first page is a sketch of my character, Hawk, and some random people. The last 3 pages are some thumbnaild for the scorpio piece I need to be working on.

You can find wallpapers for libra in the extra's section. Click the picture below to be taken there.

I also found larger images of these older pieces.

November 8th, 2006: Man, what a crazy day. I hope things actually do change for the better, they need too. Not that it guarantee's anything but, if nothing else, hopefully there will be more of a balance now. Too much in either direction is bad- the last few years should have been proof enough of that. Some pretty scary things were getting set up to happen, some already did, it will take a lot of work to reverse them. I've also been drooling over FFXII. I'm not the biggest fan of the series, but it's quite a nice looking game. So, anyway, I'm also working on the Libra Zelda Fan Art piece. It's taking longer than it should because I keep skipping a day or a week here and there. If you want to leave any comments, just click that link. I've also taken photo's of two of my favorite sketch books. One is very old and is from the years 1996-1997. The other is from my second year of college, 1998-1999. Sorry for the color quality, the books were too big for my scanners so I had to use a digital camera.

October 26th, 2006: I guess the server my site is on crashed yesterday, so I lost a lot of work. I think I was able to re-upload most of it, but if you notice something missing, or something weird, please let me know on the forums. Yeah, by the way, the forums are up! Feel free to use them to talk about anything on the site. I really doubt they'll be used much, what I have here isn't that interesting, but I like at least having the option for discussion and commenting. Not every image found on this site is linked up to them, but that should change shortly. Like always, everything here is still under heavy construction. I should add that there is a "goodies" section where you will find links to art books I've scanned and copyright free material. You'll have to register at my photoalbum to see it- there are reasons. Enjoy!

By the way, if you've visited the site recently, you may have to clear your cookies for the new changes to show up! Sorry, I wish browsers weren't always like that. Basically, if you don't see the new "click here to discuss or comment on this" image on a page, you'll probably need to clear them, or at least refresh the page.

October 24, 2006: Right now I'm in the process of connecting all of my sections and artwork to forums so people can leave comments or start a discussion about things found on the site. I really doubt it will be used much- but I like the option. If you're asking why I'm doing things the way they're being done (because I am sure there are better ways) it's simply because it's really easy and I don't have to spend a whole day or two learning how to do something else :) There are a few things I have to do before I open the forums up though. Until then the links will be kind of useless because the forums are locked, just please bear with me and excuse the construction.

October 15, 2006: Sorry I've been away from everything, I've been having a bit of a problem with migraines. They were really bad all of September, but it seems they've finally started clearing up a bit. Now all I'm left with is some weird allergies I've never had before- heh. I think it's because of a local forest fire, the smoke is all cedar: very strong. At least it's a nice smell... So, anyway, I've been trying to get at least something done. I found it really relaxing to sit here and scan some of my smaller sketchbooks. I've always wanted to scan all of them for this site, but as I explain in the "other art" section, my favorite ones are, unfortunately, too big for my scanner bed. Because of this I'll probably be scanning them last. I have 6 sketchbooks done now (out of... maybe 30?)- they're from way back in 1996 all the way up to this year, 2006. So, if you want to see a 10 year change, feel free to take a look! I placed the images on the site as they appear in the journals, so you get a good picture of 'it' all. That means: the good, the bad, and the ugly! *smiles*

July 18, 2006: More major updates, even if it's hard to tell what they are. I added some art, which I'll link to below. One piece is a wallpaper of Zelda and Taurus. I cleaned up some more sections, made things how they should be- I won't mention how much work that was (okay, maybe I will ;)

[sketches: color sketches]

[sketches: black and white]

[real art: zelda fanart]

July 16, 2006: I did a major update to the layout and coding, it's hard to tell, but it was hours of work. There were a few problems that couldn't be "seen" but still needed to be fixed.

June-July 2006: So I realized that if people weren't using the classic display style theme, there was an extra scroll bar that appeared down at the bottom. I guess some scroll bars are wider than others. (Annoying computers) I think I fixed it by adding a few extra pixels to the floating boxes- but if anyone experiences a scrollbar at the bottom of this main "frame" please send me an email.

I'm also going to go through and change up some of the pictures, and then the buttons on the side, since big "parts" of this site have no content.

11-17-05: Here's some artwork that didn't get added or updated during the last update for some reason or another:

10-27-05: I'm changing a few little things around. You can find the past updates in the Omake (extra's) Section either with the quick links to the left, or by using the button near the bottom of the page.

A few notes: My friend Anastasia opened her doujinshi site today: It's almost jokingly called: "Another Doujinshi List." She has a ton of stuff in her personal collection, and now she's starting this site to share all the info and coolness that she's amassed . Besides information on doujinshi, and scannalations, she's posting stuff she has for trade, images of what she has, stationary she's collected, wallpapers and avatras she's made for people to use, -yeah, you get that there is, and will be, tons of goodness!? For her grand opening she has some of her Final Fantasy and Detective Conan stuff up, but I know for a fact she has tons of other doujinshi from other series. Some of these would be: The Legend of Zelda, Cowboy Bebop, Suikoden, Harry Potter, Inu Yasha, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc... So keep visiting!

For all those Zelda fans out there, be sure to visit the new Zelda Blog. It is what it sounds like, and so much more. It's a rapidly updated blog, where major players in the Zelda fan community discuss what's going on with the series, not just news, but ideas and thoughts. It's open to discussion with all the fans, and I don't see how you couldn't enjoy it. Check it out, if you haven't already.

I've actually got some new artwork to show, it's nothing great, but -I always say that. Much of it is figure art, which you can find in the tab labled "other art" (it's the last one to the upper left.) or by using the thumbnails below. Using thse might make the navigation tricky though, so be sure to use your browsers back button if you want to come back to this page inbeteen each one. Beware of nudity, there's tons of it:

I also have some new, but old, art for the Legend of Zelda. I did it a long time ago but never put it on this site. Then there's "new" art for my little characters as well, crap... I might add some of this tomorrow. I still have a lot of work to do on this site, a lot of things to clean up, move, and provide info for. I reposted this page a little prematurely simply because I knew if it was on the web I would feel more forced to update. Also, my web editing program is being retarded and is trying to source the rollover script locally, this totally sucks. I need to figure out how to get it to stop doing that... Okay, it's the 28th and here are the rest of the additions.

New and touched up Zelda Fan Art, found in the Other Art section:

Random new additions to Other Art section, some of it is really old, some is newer:

New and touched up additions to the character Sketches section:

These wallpapers were also either added to the omake section, or touched up:

October 14, 2005: Hi all! The site is back. It's not finished by any means, but it has had a few little changes here and there. Sorry I've been "gone" so long. Life sucks sometimes, but things seem to slowly be getting a little better. I didn't do much in the time that I was gone, I didn't really feel well enough for it, but that doesn't mean I don't have a lot planned. Oh, and the last update wasn't actually uploaded to the web, basically I just worked on some stuff and never got it in me to post it. I have a new dog, 2 new little lizards, and 2 new bearded dragons, Edy and Llyr (my old bearded dragon and ferret) passed away. And, I'm still not really up for taking emails, I have to much catching up to do for that still, but when I am I'll post my new address. Besides that, it's good to be back. I have to do a lot of spell checking and link checking in the next few days, things are broken here and there... I hope to get it all fixed up soon enough.

April 19, 2005: The site was on Hiatus for quite a while. (As was my life) Bunch of personal stuff is getting in the way... I'm still feeling burnt out, and probably will be this way for a while, but I needed do at least something constructive. The Zelda hobby is too stressful for me right now (for all the good that's out there, I'm just to worn out to deal with the ego's of assholes and brats), so I'm sticking to my main relief- My art. It's always just been for fun, it tends to keep me somewhat happy- So, even though I'm still in recluse mode, avoiding all that's out there, for what ever it's worth, enjoy the site. ~Mel

June 28, 2004: Well, okay- I haven't really done anything for the site- basically, I just haven't been able too. I know that there are a lot of errors in the scripting, and I know that there's a ton of other things wrong, but there are reasons for that- The site isn't officially open yet. When it is, things should be working and most of the sections should at least have a little in them.. For now though, I've added some banners and 2 silly wallpapers to the omake section :)

May 10th, 2004: Almost open, not quite there yet. A very hearty welcome to all of you here today though. I may still have a whole lot to do for this site but I hope you at least like it so far. I'm sorry that its basically only a shell. Most of the links don't even go anywhere. *pout* Well, hopefully I can fix that soon enough by adding some real content! Even the layout isn't fully finished.

For now you can use the navigation menu to the right to find drawings under "sketches" and "other art" and don't forget to use the arrows in this side menu to see more pages when it's an option. I hope you'll understand what I mean..! Also, there's a "Omake" link down at the bottom. Like I said, I still have a lot of work to do! Forgive me!
