~places: the home in upper neiking~

Upper Neiking is North of the city of Neiking. It's about 2 hours, on horseback, on a well maintained, level, and broad, mountain pass that gains a few hundred feet in elevation. There's a little village that makes up the "town center" and then outlaying homes. In MANY of my tales my characters live there, in a house that looks like this:

The cow pasture and orchard (below) is to the right, or North, of the home. The Stable, the small open field for the horses, and nut trees in the woods are to the left, or south, of it. Behind the house, to the west, are some beautiful gardens that Keireia planted. Indra's fairies have come to live there. Behind that is a bubbling stream with small falls and pools with rounder boulders, behind THAT is a mountain surrounded meadow that the family often picnic's in and Keia finds her flowers there. The main road to town is East of the house. If you go south on the road you get to Upper Neiking, and then Lower Neiking. If you go North there isn't much but wilderness. there is a very small supply port. Urack works for a smith and he often goes there to pick up the ore Baulder/Cole needs. Oh, that guy is a master artisan smith. He likes upper neiking for it's seclusions. Even when my group doesn't live there, when they get armor as nobility, it usually is made by him. Most of the swords you see Melora and Dyluck with were made by him.

This is the other angle: after Korin builds his little house in what was the cow pasture.

It was swampy land but Urack had someone find the source and they converted it into a bathing fountain that looks roughly like this (It's bigger than in the picture.) It flows over as a stream that waters the orchard.

I'll explain more later. This area wasn't meant to be in the main story as a home for my group, but I really loved it, so I've been kind of bad about only drawing stories that originate from it. Living here puts Urack and Keia under Twall's jurisdiction... one of the reasons I have so much fun with it. I love that love triangle... *sigh* I'm hopeless.
