~story: the unicorn lands and people~

Each of the three major countries has their own race, culture, as well as other interesting differences to note. This is some basics on the Unicorn Lands. This page is a work in progress as of December 01, 2008.
Influences:
I have a lot of French blood. I was raised with a lot of french antiques around me; I also love the now stereotypical fairytale and the imagery associated with it. The Loire Valley, in France, reminds me of this land. These lands are filled with people who are ruled by their emotions and love art, music, and feasting. A matriarchal, neighborly, people; they spend time being merry, they love the gardens and woods, they embrace what is around them, they fight only when pushed. Think of the talking beasts and nymphs in the Chronicles of Narnia, think of Bacchus from the Pastoral Symphony in Disney's Fantasia. All this, and my mother, are the foundation for Keireia's homeland.
Language:
I think the closet thing would be the elvish Tolken came up with for his Lord of the Rings series. I always wanted it to be a very fair sounding language, very fluid. ..and when I fake what it sounds like, that's the closet thing I've heard. YouTube Video 1 . YouTube Video 2 . YouTube Video 3 . YouTube Video 4
Appearance of the People:
Pointy ears, like half-elves or vulcans (not long elf ears.) Brown is the most common eye color, there's also blue, and sometimes green. Very light blonde hair to a lighter brown hair. Pale skin that doesn't tan well. The roundest, and shortest, of all the people.
Culture:
Usually a very liberal, anything goes, people. They can be catty though and can get quite sour when jealousy is in play.
Landscape:
Rolling fields and hill valleys, open sandy shores, deciduous forests, streams and water everywhere. A very pleasant place to live.
Food and Industry:
Basically any plants that will grow, cattle, chicken, wool, weaving, ship building, thatching,
Notes:
For a long time I drew Keia and Dyluck, and other Unicorn people, with round ears. I thought they were cute that way, and I drew the Lions with pointed ears. But.. I fnially decided that horses have pointed ears and lions round ones, so now- for sure -Keia and her people should have pointed ears.
