~Redo: The Story Of...~

Added to the site Decemeber 01, 2008: I redid this a lot. Here are some of the files. I actually never finished them in their royal outfits. I got sick of it. But... it was really good practice.

~Redo: The Story Of...~

Added to the site on September 5, 2008: The family of my 6 main characters. Be sure to visit the character section of the site if you would like to know more about each of these people. Yayness! They actually look pretty much exactly like they're supposed to! *freak-out-dance* OMG, I'm kind of happy with something for once.

Melora's hair is more stringy than it should be, but that's because I didn't really try to get it how it should be. Indra (far right) and Urack (center left- god I love him) are my favorite two in this piece, then Keireia (center right, doesn't look exactly like herself, but I liked how she looked so I didn't change her) and Korin (back right) are my next fav's, then Dyluck (back left) and Melora (far left) might need a little tweaking as far as facial feature placement.

So, I might edit this a little in a few days because I'm sure when I look at it again, after taking a big break from it, I'll notice stuff is off, but, for now, I think I'm done :D Maybe I'll redo this one every year to see how much I've changed. I painted-over/re-did this because the old one bugged the hell out of me. None of my characters seemed to look like themselves.

This is the full working size and was done in photoshop with a wacom tablet.

This is not done, but I really wanted to rework this because of my original complaint on the original piece: I didn't really feel like any of the characters looked how they should. It wasn't just the positioning mistakes in the original, like mouths and eyes being too far over, they just didn't look like themselves. So I started working on it again and if you check out the image below this text you'll get a gif slideshow of the progress and changes. I already like it a billion times more, I have more to do, but I think it will come out a lot better than the original. Maybe it will even come out well enough not to irk me anymore. P.S. I think Dyluck and Korin look better here than in the final one I posted above.
