~Girl Bettas~

Lesson learned: Never use spray fixative over ballpoint pen. It bleelds like a bastard! I (rather poorly) touched it up with some white acrylic, but it looks a little funkier than it originally did :p Ballpoint pen, watercolor, and black quill ink in a 3.5x5 inch sketchbook. So, these are my girls! Female bettas are awesome; Such curious and lively little bitches X3 I have them in a heaviely planted 10 gallon. Top to bottom is Ishtar- my fav, Persephone- the alpha one whos name I totally spelled wrong in the drawing, then there's a pity buy- who has no name yet, Isis- who was completely white when I bought her, and Frigga - who is actually kind of iridescent.

At Pet Smart I found a REALLY pretty young red one with gold flecks: I just loved her, but she was already rather ill when I bought her so, sadly, she didn't make it past a couple of days ;_; I was going to name her after that Chinese vermillion bird, (I know the Japanese name is Suzaku?) but it doesn't matter, I'm on the search for another. Done in either late 2006 or early 2007. Added July 22, 2007.
