These are my two Bearded Dragon sisters. I bought them from a breeder in the late summer of 2005. You can find more pictures of them here on my Bearded Dragon fanlisting. I hope to update it with new pics from time to time. You can also find all kinds of Bearded Dragon stuff there. I'm slowly trying to make it a complete site/link hub.
Their other names are (hopefully) aboriginal words: Pinchi (meaning saltwater crocodile) and Thachi (sand goanna.) They're really lovely little sisters (from the same clutch) with completely different personalities. From the start Sprout loved to run wild and chase after crickets. She startles easy and squirms if you hold her long. She also loves to swim and float. Acorn has always been calm and relaxed. She prefers vegi's and for you to hand feed her or for food to walk in front of her, she can be really active and alert but is hardly afraid of a thing. She doesn't like water quite as much as her sister but she loves to dig far more. Sprout is more yellow than her reddish brown sister. Acorn's head has a wider look and Sprouts has a longer look.
These girls came from the same clutch, but I think Sprout hatched two weeks earlier or something. Sprout had flipped upside down in her travel container, it was a fluke, but it's why she doesn't look like she feels so great on the first day of pics. I am pretty sad about their color though, I don't know what I did wrong. All the babies and adults from that breeder are very red with distinct stripes by their ears and white chins and tummies. I really tried to do everything perfectly but my girls- their color is so much more brown and solid :/ I mean, they grew about as fast as they can, hey grew 12 inches in the first 6 months that I had them. I had good lighting and gutloaded+dusted their crickets... Who knows, I should ask around at some enthusiast groups.
