~characters: the extras~

This page isn't much, just some faces for names, and a few of the others that I don't have drawings scanned for right now. More to come! Not that I have much typed out, but if you'd like to know more, or to discuss or make any comments on these, please click on their names to be taken to their information threads! Right now I'm not naming some people below. I hardly ever draw them so I need to go back and make sure I remember their names correctly.

December 02, 2008: These character pictures come from art spanning the whole length of time I've been drawing my story. Some if bound to be much better than others. I simply didn't want to redraw everyone just for this page so I grabbed it from old art.

Godan:

The main bad guy. Urack's cousin and son of Ursula and Mnew.

A horrible name for the main bad guy... really really stupid sounding, I just can't decide on what to change it to.

Lyonal:

Isabelle's cousin. Took over reign of the Lion lands. Korin's step-father. They're trying to kill each other.

Isabelle Ahmose:

Korin's Mother. Queen of one of the two ruling houses of the desert countries. She is forced to marry Lyonal when he takes power, but forever continues to love her murdered husband, Kashta. Much later in her life she kills her children from the forced marriage so they will not be an obstacle to her very beloved son, Korin. Need the picture of the Peacock symbol: Also means "Dawn," is for a priestesses.

Sometimes I used the name Lynette, but Isabelle is more of a Lion's name and far more spanish, which is what I was going for. Ahmose is her priestess name and is also the name she likes most and what Korin's father prefers to call her. When Lynol takes over he insists that no one use it any more.

Kashta Kush:

Korin's Father. King of one of the two ruling houses of the desert kingdoms. He's ousted by Lyonal and killed by mage mercenaries hired to hunt them. It wasn't easy, he's not a weak guy and he's very capable of using magic; one of the few Celestials that still can. When Lyonal over takes Uluru, no one expected that Kush would on an outing. He survives being killed then and a little while later his wife is able to get Korin smuggled out to him. They roam the country for a while and he's able to teach Korin a few things. Korin has his face and eyes, but his mom's hair.

For a while I switched his name between Otker and Mnew, which was also what I was using for Urack's dad's name. Mnew was an actual magic user from our world's legends but I could hear Korin calling him Otker... I'm still not sure what I want to use for him.

Otker:

Urack and Rylyn's harsh Father. High King of the Dragon Lands.

I called him Mnew for a while but that's a name of a person from our world's legends and he was a magic user. I didn't know which name I want more for him. Otker is harsher sounding though, it does fit better in the Dragon Lands.

Ingrid:

Urack's Mother. I use to have her name as Lynette. For a while I also interchanged it with Korin's mothers name, Isabelle. I finally chose which one I wanted her to have though.

Rylyn:

Urack's younger brother by 3 years. His parents are Ingrid and Otker. In most tales he usually doesn't live but a few day past birth. Sometimes, though, I really like to include him in my stories.

He is the second prince of the land of Dragons. A very happy and personable soul, he isn't much like his brother or father.

Ursula:

Godan's Mother. Ingrid's younger sister. Urack's Aunt.

Mnew:

Godan's "Father." Probably practiced in some sort of cult or made some sort of deal with dark powers. Dies very soon after Godan was born. He was not a very high ranking king.

Keireia's Mom:

I can't remember what name I picked for her.

Keireia's Dad:

I can't remember what name I picked for him.

Keireia's Step-Mother:

I don't think I have a name yet

Keireia's 3 Step-Sisters:

I don't think I have a name yet

Bannon:

Runner up for the High King's crown in the dragon lands. Starts a civil war with Godan. Could possibly marry Keireia or one of her step sisters.

Chelsea:

One of Twall's illegitimate children; she's the only one he actually takes responsibility for though. He adopts her as his heir when her mother dies. She was one of his short time lovers and Chelsea was only a few years old, maybe 5, and had no other family. He could have just put someone in charge of her but I think he was kind of feeling sentimental. She's pretty shrewd and clever as well but Twall doesn't really realize that, he's more focused on the fact that all she does is party and date really stupid pretty boys. In his mind she's pretty much a Paris Hilton- and its always freaking him out because he has to leave Neiking to her and who ever she marries... or who ever gets her pregnant. He tries to talk Keireia into arranging a marriage between her and Dyluck.

She's very into being the Queen of Neiking's popular crowd- and the only person out of her ridiculous circle, of over-privileged syphocant brats and drama queens, that she really likes is Indra. She loves dressing as eccentrically as her father; smokes, drinks, and is always the loudest one in the room. She enjoys the attention and pissing him off.

Marcello:

Twall's Father. Mayor and then King of Neiking. Leader of pirates. Even though he has some royal blood in him all he had to his name was his ship- He and his crew were well known pirates. While docked for repairs and fresh water, on some desolate corner of the world, he encountered a tribe of the Goat People and fell in love with Caprice. She was soon pregnant and left her tribe for him and the sea. She became ill and they went to land at the small port of Neiking. After she died he decided he would follow her desires and raise their son in that area. Very charismatic and clever he was quickly made Mayor of the area and then, when it grew, the people petitioned to have him made King. Neiking is what it is because of him.

When Twall was around 15 they realized that Marcello had contracted a fatal seafarer's disease. It was slow moving though, so he ruled publicly for a while but, over the years, Twall did more and more of his work for him. The last decades of his life were spent hidden from everyone but Twall.

Caprice: Twall's Mother

I'm not 100% sure on her name. It should be something goat-like, something strange too... Ecir? Capra? Adma? Aja? Eqidia? For a while I thought I might call her Ursula. She has brown hair and the round face as well as the large, round, yellowish, crazy clear, eyes that her people are known for.

She's from a mountain roaming gypsy tribe called the Goat People, who really belong to no nation. She met Twall's father when he brought his ship to land for repairs. They quickly fell in love (and she loved all the eclectic gifts the pirate could bestow upon her.) She died less than a year after Twall was born. Very free-spirited and unpredictable, with whimsical tastes, and a wandering nature. She loved the neiking area, and the odd range of people that lived there but, if she had lived longer, she probably would have wanted to start traveling again.

Drywidden:

Dyluck's best friend growing up, he later serves under him in his army as his main aide. His nickname is just "Dry," his sister is Anne and they're from Upper Neiking. They have a couple more brothers and sisters, it's a large family, but those don't really have any involvement in my stories.

Dyluck helped him cheat on the Royal Academy's entrance exam, so he could attend there with him. He's not nearly as smart as Dyluck but they're loyal friends. Dyluck would have made him a general if he thought he could handle it so, instead, he just has him help him out with stuff that won't be too risky or problematic... like if he messes it up.

Anne (Esqutine)

Drywidden's little sister. She has a crush on Dyluck and they almost get a thing going on. .. But Dyluck get's worried it will piss Drywidden off, so he manages to break it off with her.

Devin:

Dyluck's friend and one of his top generals. Traveling companion of Hawk. 2nd Prince of the 5 Dog Star Isles.

Devin's Older Brother:

Never really thought of a name. 1st prince of the Dog Star Isles and a leader of a group of very skilled mercenaries.

Hawk:

Dyluck's friend and one of his top generals and right hand man. Traveling companion of Devin. Was raised in a desert based cult. Has either gray or purple hair.

Ronnel:

Another of Dyluck's Generals. A young king, or prince, of a small country in the mountainous section of the eastern Dragon lands. He's loyal to the true crown, and quite quick and intelligent; he offers his service to Dyluck and becomes a main commander in his army along with Drywidden, Hawk and Devin.

He has light blond hair that has a slight wave to it. Average height and funky fun armor. X)

Dyluck's other general...

what was his name... argh

Diana:

The star that fell from the heavens in search of a more interesting life. Dyluck might end up marrying her. Beautiful, tall, slender, elegant, lacks personality. Long, silky, jet black hair. She appeared right off the crescent shaped bay in the Northern Dragon Lands, by Dyluck's city, Zenith.

Meolien:

Melora's adventuring partner in the Lion Lands. He's really no one special, they just happen to meet and hit it off. He's cocky and always cracking jokes, he has a hot temper but it's never expressed towards her. He likes showing her interesting things and places in the country that is new to her; they goad each other on and always have fun doing it, even when they get into dangerous spots. Korin is a little pissed that Mel is hanging out with another guy so much. But Meo doesn't ever have feelings of love for her, nor her him, so it's really just Korin being jealous.

He's from the Lion country so he has dark skin and black hair. Also a thin mustache, broad shoulders, wears a green and red striped leather tunic with metal studs, baggy linen pants that are leather cuffed at the bottom(mostly,) leather bracers, and leather sandals.

Elwren:

Indra's lover, a prince of the fair-folk. I'm not sure if there are true elves in my little world, or if there are just various kinds of fairies. Whatever they are though, Elwren is one of them. He's a higher level version than the typical fairy or pixie though. When he visits the "real" world- which is separate from his own magical domain, he takes the shape of a fairly tall, high elf-like, man. Most fey are not able to do this. It varies each time though since his sense of the size range for humans is rather inaccurate. It's very rare for fairies to show themselves to mortals, but Indra (Urack and Keireia's daughter) often visits the other plane and has a bit of an ongoing relationship with him. His mother's name, the Queen, is Maab.

He and Indra never marry, but they stay together until she dies. ...If she dies. I haven't considered that "situation" before now. She spends more and more time in their world- time passes differently there. It's very possible that she eventually just disappears completely into it.

Phaedra:

The "Twins" or "The Cubs." She is a few minutes older than her brother. She has dark, straight hair, more like her father's. Her left eye is blue-gray and her right is yellow-gold. When she grows up she is a very skilled enchantress and the empress of the united world, the Oneland. Her symbol is the moon with sun like star-bursts coming from it. She has golden brown skin. She carries a round magic stone that is an enchanter's relic and likes to wear robes usually embroidered with silver.

Sebastian:

The "Twins" or "The Cubs." Slightly younger. Opposite of his sister, his right eye is blue-gray and his left is yellow-gold. He has white blond hair, more like his mother's, and golden brown skin like his father's kin. He is very knowledgeable and becomes a bard; his songs and words are magic. His sign is the sun with the moon in it. He carries a magic harp and often wears a headband and loose, simple but elegant, shirts usually embroidered with gold.

Enitnelav

He marries couples that would not normally be permitted to marry: Like ones that have eloped, are from different social classes, or were on the loosing end of a arranged marriage. In one branch of the stories this is Urack and Keireia and then later Melora and Korin. He lives in the Western area of the Unicorn lands, around Neiking. His neighbors help keep his exact location a secret since the "law," and many others like some parents, are rather annoyed by his practice. His reputation is wide spread throughout both the dragon and unicorn countries, but to find him can be quite a process. You will only know where he is if his neighbors believe you're seeking him for the right reasons. He is a very blunt person but, obviously, is motivated from his heart.

He has light hair, weak eyes, and looks quite worn for his age. A more squarish face.

Seb:

Twall's first mate and right hand man. Help's him manage all his more secretive business affairs.

Malduk:

Urack's adoptive father on Misty Isle.

Coll:

Black smith on Misty Isle.

Eric:

A royal guard to the King of the Unicorn Country. The men in his family have served in that capacity for generations. Although it is a great honor to be one of the King's more elite royal guards, he was still just one in many... until Princess Keireia returned. Then, because he was one of the best fighters and of good character, he was hand-picked by Urack to assist him in the protection of the princess. They form an elite unit of two, (usually, there was a point where 6 more were chosen, but that didn't last) and are beholden to no one but her. It was a condition of her return that she be able to have her own guards, not just the crown's guards.

He's one of the few people who is actually able to befriend and tolerate Urack. He's married to Elise and they have a ton of kids. He has brown hair and brown eyes, fairly normal looking. Strong enough to be a good fighter but not a big guy by any means. Very formal, very non-confrontational.

Elise:

Eric's Wife. A brunette, kind, speaks her mind without much fear, comes from a wealthy family. She and Eric live in her family's home right outside the Winter Palace in the Unicorn Country. She's not chunky or thin, but she always seems to be pregnant.

Baulder:

His name was Cole for a long time. World famous master black smith. He live in Upper Neiking and Urack works for him in some stories.

Anne (Lion)

In one, minor and hardly used, branch of the story she is a slave that is given to Urack because he killed an enemy of her master. He had escaped a palace in the Lion country with two infant boys and needed a nursemaid for them. (She was young for one.) They, along with Keireia, escape the Lion country and when Keia refuses to stay with Urack, he never moves from the spot on which he was rejected. He marries Anne and builds a house in the rocky area of the Dragon country near the contested area of the Lion's Mane. They have a child, Cite, and she raises the other two boys, Aaron and Justin, as her own.

She has very dark skin, cute lips, is small framed, and has black curly hair.

Aaron:

In a weird, non-story related arc, he's a lion queen's and Urack's son. Half brother to the slightly younger Justin. Justin's mom is the daughter of Aaron's mom.

Black hair, green eyes, golden brown skin, and just a bit taller than Justin.

Justin:

In a weird, non-story related arc, he's a lion princess' and Urack's son. Half brother to the slightly older Aaron. Justin's mom is the daughter of Aaron's mom.

Blond hair, brown eyes, golden brown skin, and just a bit shorter than Aaron.

Cite:

A very random character. In a pointless story arc; he's Urack and Anne's blind son.

(desert queen)

Argh, I know I have a name for her.

(& princess)

I can't remember her name either.

Starraceia:

Korin and Dyluck fight over her for a brief time, then Urack marries her off to his 'accidental' son, Mark.

King Mark:

There are actually 2 King's named Mark. One is older and really just a sub-character; a king in the dragon lands, a decent man of no real importance. The other is an illegitimate son of Urack's, in an old story I used to focus on more. No one knows about him but, when Urack is king and needs to marry off a certain lady in waiting, Starraceia, because Korin and Dyluck are fighting over her, (and Korin's married to Melora) he arranges a marriage between her and Mark.

The Old Knight:

Did I ever name him?

Ophelia:

The water nymph from the Dragon's Maw that's so in love with Urack she kills herself.

Hawk's old GF:

She is killed and he leave the cult at The White Castle. SHe was so minor I never thought of giving her a name. I guess I need to though.

Egeria:

Named after the water nymph
