~Characters: The Boy and Girl~

Around maybe 1991, when I was 12 or 13, I wanted to start drawing humans- which I found incredibly boring. To get myself to want to do it I came up with 2 characters; a boy and a girl. Over the next year I solidified a story for them and their basic looks- and while my style has evolved over the years, and the story has been fleshed out, the basic ideas behind them have stayed exactly the same. No matter how silly it seems, I truly love them. The world I created revolves around them and covers not only their entire life time, but that of their ancestors and children. It starts millenniums before, with a place called Morning, and continues millenniums after with a tale I call Blackbird.

I love Urack, but maybe his ugly name doesn't show it. But I wanted him to have an ugly harsh name. His race is very sterotypical old world german; harsh and strict. So I tried (maybe poorly) to reflect that somehow.

Urack is the boy main character of my little stories, along with the princess, Keireia. His tale starts on the Isle of Mist (Misty.) It's a rather typical RPG's thing; he's an orphan that's hated by every one else in the village. He's quite wild and spends a good deal of time fending for himself in the surrounding forest. In a tiny little cave he finds 2 dragon eggs near some lava, strangely one hatches and he ends up with a little pet; Norie. He hunts for the tiny thing and in turn it makes a fluffy pillow at night ;D When he's around 12 he's kicked out of the village and a year later he meets Keireia.

He's an amazing fighter; often competing in tournaments. He starts off best with a spear, but later becomes unsurpassed with the sword. While he's fairly uneducated he's has the strange ability to pick up any language he hears. His chosen purpose in life is to protect Princess Keireia. He's extremely loyal and his sense of duty is almost ridiculous.

Keireia is the heroine in my tales, one of the original and main two characters, she's been with me since I was 13. Keireia is a princess, and one of the highest rank. Her father is king over one of the three major kingdoms of the world, and with her betrothal, two of those are to be joined. The plan was made even before she was born, destiny really, but when a disaster claimed the life of the ruling family she was, in turn, pledged to the next successor.

She starts off in the tale as a bit of a snob. After meeting Urack that changes rather quickly. She's a beautiful dancer and a superb archer. She can see extremely well at night and, like most Unicorns, can purify water and poison.
