4 Koma could be thought of like Sunday comic strips I guess. They're short, usually 4 panel, humor based comics and are very cute. Fans usually draw them and these are sometimes gathered into "anthologies" or a novel that is a collection of work from diffrent artists. About 14 or 16 pages in the front of most of these books are in color, and the rest of the pages are in black and white. Even if you cannot understand Japanese they are still extreamly funny if you know at least a little about the game it foucuses on.

There seem to be an unlimited number of these publishings. I keep seeing more and more, the only thing I have noticed is that there seem to be none for the first Legend of Zelda and for The Adventure of Link. Perhaps 4 Koma was not popular before A Link to the Past came out...
