Dwight website
I'm a fan because: This film was released when I was twelve years old along with another lifetime favorite, Conan the Barbarian. It made quite an impression and started me on a neverending path of total fascination with fantasy films, novels, games and art. There are not many films I have seen as often as this one and even fewer that I completely enjoy every minute of each new viewing.

MAELSTROM website
I'm a fan because: Beastmaster is a great story, and a very entertaining movie. It can be kind of cheesy, but for a B-movie, I give it an A+ for effort! I am a major science-fiction/sword and sorcery fan, so this was a very memorable movie that left a permanent impression on me from when I was a kid.

Melora website
I'm a fan because: I use to watch this movie all the time on TV growing up. I just loved the fantasy aspect and that the main character could talk to animals. I still love it; it's truly my greatest guilty pleasure. I even have a hard time calling it a B movie.

Misty Petersen website
I'm a fan because: I thought it was so cool the way Dar communicated with animals. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid.

Trollsmyth email website
I'm a fan because: A well-written movie that aches to escape its B-movie status. The story's tragic themes echo mythology without wallowing in pretentious snobbery. Like the first Conan movie and Ladyhawke, it knows what it is, and it delivers on that basis.
