Great story, great music... great everything. Just look at that beautiful title screen. The first game was so amazing, and it just worked so well. Then they come back with something completely different. It's really not much different from the change in style between Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, to the widely dreaded change in The Wind Waker. Some people love the new direction, some people hate it. But underneath it all, it's still the Legend of Zelda. Link and Zelda are amazing characters and new ones join them in every game. This game set the tone for change and evolution within the series. I love it.

I own and have mastered every Zelda game in existence, but The Adventure of Link brings back so many memories that not many people can understand. The gameplay was so challenging and the leveling up system was rewarding. Not only that, the game had a very dark and serious feel to it. I'm 19 years old and can say proudly that throughout the years Nintendo has always been my first choice and I continue to keep it that way. I don't believe that Sony or Microsoft can ever match the level of greatness, achievement, and memories like Nintendo has done....

As a veteran of the entire Zelda series, The Adventure of Link is the one that I find has the most replay value, and hence the one I find myself playing the most. It's incredibly addictive, and offers a challenge on a par with the Legend of Zelda, but allows the player to get straight into the heat of melee combat, as opposed to keeping distance and trying to pick off enemies with the Sword Beam in order to avoid getting annihilated. Its Action-RPG style is highly under-rated, and in my honest opinion, AOL was crucial in the evolution of Link's ever-developing fighting style. Without AOL, we would not know the Link we know today.
